It shows the mental state of the testator or testatrix as being able to read the will aloud, understand it, and sign it in the presence of witnesses. The video recording eliminates any questions of authorship, as the testator/testatrix understands it and acknowledges it to be his or her last will and testament. It also gives the client the opportunity, if desired, to express the reasoning and purpose behind specific decisions made in regard to the estate distribution.
